On March 5, 2012, the Oregon Real Estate Agency launched eLicense, the new license management system. Although we’ve experienced some minor blips, it has been for the most part a smooth transition.

The Oregon Real Estate Agency, working with exam service provider PSI, recently sent out a job analysis survey by e-mail to all real estate licensees. The survey asks questions about how information is used or tasks are completed in relation to licensed activity. The goal is to obtain an accurate picture of what a new licensee should know.

You may ask, what is a compliance review? The Agency started offering principal broker licensees the opportunity to participate in an online self-administered compliance review in 2010. The property manager compliance review soon followed and was offered starting in 2011. The compliance reviews are educational in nature. They focus on the Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) chapter 696 and Oregon Administrative Rule (OAR) chapter 863, divisions 14, 15, and 25. The mission of the compliance review is to help licensees stay in compliance and discover possible issues before a complaint or investigation occurs.
